In the past 5 years, the United States have had seven mass shootings that have taken the lives of 142 innocent people and little has been done legislatively.  Any action that has been taken to curb gun violence, much of the legislation enacted in the last three decades has been undone by court challenges — many of which were supported by Second Amendment advocates.

I don’t have a problem with my fellow Americans having a right to bear arms.  What bothers me is as the shootings continue politicians are still sitting on their hands doing nothing (as usual) and pointing their fingers at everyone but themselves.

It’s real interesting that driving a car is considered a privilege, while owning a gun is considered a right. I keep reading post after post on the Internet about the Second Amendment giving citizen’s a right to bear arms but I still don’t see why I have the right to own a gun.  So to those of you who own guns, fine, but why do you need to own so many? Why does any civilian need an assault rifle?

Back when the Second Amendment was written, a citizen owned a rifle to defend himself and his family against wild animals, four legged or two. It provided him meat and security. His firearm could shoot one round every 30 seconds accurately, if he was good. It was an item he needed.  A lot has changed since then.  We need to change with the times.

Like President Obama said at the memorial in Newton, “These tragedies have to stop.”  And so do the excuses by the pro gun politicians, gun organizations like the NRA and everyone that believes it is ok for us to keep having these tragedies every few months.

It is time for all of us Americans to step up to the plate and protect, not only our children but all Americans that want to live in a free, open society without having to worry if each day we step out of our home will be the last because some psycho with an automatic weapon decides to shoot up the place because he or she is having a bad day.  We need to start demanding more from our elected officials to do everything in their power legally to protect all of us citizens.  If they can’t or refuse to do the job, we need to fire all of them and replace them with people who are looking out for our best interest and not the big gun manufacturers and organizations that are making donations to their re-election campaigns.  It’s time to put up or shut up Congress!

Obama – a man with integrity that says what he means and means what he says.  The President that inherited two unfunded wars, one of the worse financial mess in our lifetime, an obstructionist Republican Congress who’s only goal was to make him a 1-term President instead of helping the American people. Yet four years later, the President has the country gaining 150,000 jobs a month and heading in the right direction.  The President may not be perfect but he has always been and still is for the working class in America.

Mitt Romney – a flip-flopping, lying, tax cheat candidate that has spent his entire life outsourcing American jobs overseas at the expense of the American workers.  A man that will say and do anything to whatever audience he is speaking to in hopes of getting elected President. A man that was caught on tape saying, “47% of Americans will never vote for him because they are lazy and only want handouts from the government.”  A man that only recently discovered the American middle class when he realized there weren’t enough rich 1-percenters to help him win the Presidency.  A man whose only foreign policy experience is the many bank accounts he has in the Cayman Islands, Switzerland, Bahamas and God knows where else (so much for believing in America when he’s clearing hedging his bet by stashing his money outside of the country that has afforded him such a great life).  A man (along with his billionaire allies) who has been telling audiences in the closing days of the election that if their workers don’t vote for him, they could be fired.

Seems to me the choice for President is simple – Obama/Biden 2012 (FORWARD).  If you’re still UNDECIDED, when you make up your mind, make sure to go to the polls Wednesday, November 7 (wink, wink) and vote for the candidate you finally decided to vote for.  By then it won’t matter, the rest of the country will have moved on already!

Ok folks, I am sick and tired of idiots doing stupid things and then endangering the lives of safety personnel to come to their rescue when things go sideways.  Why in the heck would anyone want to climb into a tiger’s cage?  There is a reason why tigers are kept in a cage.  It’s to protect the public from the wild animal.  If tigers, lions, bears, alligators (insert any wild animal here that humans have been trying to befriend lately) posed no danger to human beings, we would all have a tiger or lion as a pet on a leash in our back yard protecting our home or showing off to our neighbors (who couldn’t afford to get one).

We need to stop trying to save these idiots when they do stupid things like jump into a cage with a wild animal and get mauled.  Perhaps if enough of these idiots got mauled (like they always do) and all the media headlines read, “Served Them Right!”  Maybe it would put an end to all this crazy thinking by these zealots that keeping thinking the tiger or bear wants to be their friend.  This couldn’t be further from the truth.  That tiger in a cage doesn’t want to be your friend.  All he wants from you and I is to be left alone in peace. Actually the tiger would prefer for us to open the cage and take him back to his natural home and set him free.  Since that isn’t going to happen, he prefers to be left alone to plan their escape (isn’t that what all captives do).   However if just by some chance we were foolish enough to invade his space, the tiger would surely enjoy having us as his next 5-course meal for the day!

Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and financier Darla Moore will become the first women to put on the renowned green jackets when the Augusta, Georgia, club re-opens for a new season in October.  The Augusta National Club invited its first black member, businessman Ron Townsend, to join in 1990 following accusations of racial discrimination at the whites-only Shoal Creek club in Alabama.

I cannot believe that in 2012, we as Americans are still talking about the first African-American this and the first woman that.  When will we as a nation wake up and understand that until there is truly equality between all races, gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc.… we will continue to see the social problems that have plagued this great nation since its inception.  When every American feels as though they are getting a fair opportunity like everyone else, there tends to be more harmony and less civil discontent.  I am glad to see Augusta National Golf Club admit a couple females to the good old boys club.  It’s about damn time.  They should’ve done so a long time ago but Kudos for letting a couple women in the club.  It only took them 8o years to do so.

But let’s not kid ourselves; Augusta National Golf Club didn’t take much of a risk here.  Let’s look at what they really did.  By accepting Condoleezza Rice and Darla Moore as new members, all they really did is accept two more rich people to an already elite club full of other rich people.  Only the rich can afford the five figure membership fees and monthly dues needed to be a member.

If Augusta National Golf Club really wanted to shake things up, how about accepting someone that wasn’t rich or famous.  Let’s see the powers that be at Augusta National Golf Club accept a few broke-ass people from Compton or a trailer park in Tennessee.  Until the working class can start enjoying some of the good life like the super rich folks here in the United States, only then will I say that things are finally changing for the better here in America.

Why am I not surprised that Chad & Evelyn are already having problems.  I knew they were going to have problems when they got married but not a month into the marriage (I was thinking more like three months).  Apparently Evelyn and Chad were arguing because she found some condoms or receipts for condoms in his car.  HAHAHA! No shit Sherlock!  I don’t understand why Evelyn was surprised that he was cheating or planning to cheat on her.   That’s what they do!  Many of these athletes have multiple women, especially when they are young, good looking and have a lot of money (well, they don’t have to be good looking when they have a bunch of money).

As for Mrs Evelyn Lozada getting upset, puh-leaze!  That woman is a drama queen.  She should know the game because she came up through the ranks as a groupie sleeping with other NBA basketball players when she knew they were already married so she shouldn’t be surprised that the tables are being turned against her now.  Another saying my mom would tell me was, “God don’t like ugly!  What goes around comes around.”  Not only did Evelyn get Chad thrown in jail, but the dominos are still falling.  Now she has gone and cost her new husband his million-dollar job and their TV show.  I wonder if she is going to stay with him now that he is unemployed and not on TV anymore?  Hmmmmmm???   My guess is Evelyn is probably going to divorce Chad and move on to the next rich athlete who she can snare in her vagina (I meant to say “web”) of lies and deceit.

My advice to Chad is to cut his losses, have the marriage annulled and move on.  Any woman that calls the cops on me while we are dating has got to go.  The relationship is over the minute the handcuffs touch my wrists.  Its bad enough to get arrested but then I lose my job too, that’s taking it to a whole new level.  Yeah right, the sex isn’t that good! It’s even worse when the job is my career and the pay is seven figures.  The drama queen definitely has to go!  Do yourself a favor Mr. Johnson and ditch the biotch, use the time you have off to focus on what is important to you and what you want your legacy in the NFL to be; “A diva receiver that cared more about the headlines off the field than his play on the field.”  You know it’s really bad when Pacman Jones is shaking his head and giving you advice.

Here’s a little advice for the groupies out there.  Listen up ladies, if you plan to date or marry a professional athlete that plays American sports expect them to cheat on you. I am not saying that it is right but that is more the norm than the exception.  Let’s stop with the, “Well, I thought he would change after he met me?”  Yeah, right! Unless your vagina is golden, he isn’t stopping until he runs out of money, his career ends or he runs out of Viagra (I prefer Cialis because you have more time to get her in the mood if she says no the first night.).

Word to the wise folks…” If you want your relationship to last, don’t go on a reality show.”
